Bajaj Holiday Photos

Earlier this year, Genevieve generously sent me a studio back drop set up after taking photos for Emi’s 2nd birthday. I was so grateful because it was one of those things that I kept meaning to get, but just never bought myself. So when she asked if I would take their Christmas photos, it only made sense that they would be my first time using it!

Being the first time using non-natural light on a shoot, this was new territory for me. But having a basic understanding of lighting, I was able to get some really great lighting, avoiding harsh or distracting shadows and matching the artificial light color to the natural light coming in from the window.

In addition to getting some adorable photos of Emi, one of my favorite moments was when Emi found Gen’s long-wear lipstick and was pretty proud of how great she looked while Gen scrubbed it off :). Too bad I was about 1 second too late to catching a photo of her in the act!
